How do you know? AFL was negotiating with Gov, so surely must have come up with some sort of compromise?

I can’t imagine why the AFL would wait until Tuesday to announce the time, only to force us into a hotel for 24hrs anyway. If they didn’t GAF surely they just announce the time Sunday night.

What is sure about the afel?. Qld government just waive the rules for footballers while denying compassionate exemptions? We’d look awful along with their government.

Yeah, but after all that, they surely wouldn’t set the time at 7:20 if we’re forced to stay in a hotel room all day. I’m guessing we have some sort of liberty. If not, it’s total BS

Every State gov has negotiated the terms of the players flying in and out.

Until the club says we got something to not not be completely screwed over, I’m not giving anyone else the benefit of the doubt. The AFEL & Ch7 wanted the money from the night time slot. That’s the driving agenda. Hopefully we haven’t been screwed over again.

Looking forward to reading the club publicly state they now prefer the later start time and staying locked up for 24 hours will actually help with our preparation.

According to Tom Browne players will no longer have to be confined to their rooms.
