The image of Lynch has always stayed with me. I remember nothing of the match except that it didn't go well. If we have the game won at time on in the last quarter, Ryley West should track him down and return the favour.

Was it Scotty Wynd’s last game…we didn’t get to see him farewelled of the field as the cameras focused on ‘ a peroxided wanker doing a handstand’ in the memorable words of a friend.

Some of these moments of pain that our club has endured never really fade do they. I have hated Lynch ever since.

Our team have different memories, from last season. Go get ‘em Dogs, locked down Melbourne-ites need a reason to smile.

There's definitely some PTSD for me that triggers every time I sense we've underperformed (eg the last 3 games) and I think my mood is commensurate with that. It's like I'm time warped back to the final siren in 97!

I'm feeling ok, I'm a little concerned with the Lions ability to score. They can rack up some huge numbers. We really need to be on top in the stoppages and contested possession early. Can't start like last week.

I have to believe the second half last week was the turning point and the increased effort and form of recently injured players comes into this game. Hard work plus our natural talent is a great combo.

It’s a good feeling going into a final knowing our best will get the job done… it’s not such a good feeling knowing if we will produce it, but I’m very hopeful we can.
