Rating our list 2021: Tom Liberatore 21

    Hi All,

During the off season I thought I would start our list rating again. I won't included the new recruits as there is nothing to go on and I'll leave out desisted and retired players as there is no point.

Like last time I'll count down from the highest number to the lowest but I thought the poll rating this time will go on a different tack and get Woofers thoughts on how they rank from Elite to Below Average.

I hope current performance doesn't reflect on last years assessment.

    The poll is expired.

Tom Liberatore was drafted via father-son selection in the 2010 AFL Draft, with his hardness and contested ball efforts a great asset in helping the Bulldogs gain first use of the footy. The 29-year-old had a breakout year in 2013, statistically ranked the best inside player of the competition, but took his game to the elite level in 2014 to claim the Charles Sutton Medal. After a knee injury cruelled his 2015 season, Liberatore bounced back in 2016 to be an instrumental part of the Club's finals run. Despite a late-season ankle injury, Liberatore bounced back to play all four finals, and was a key member of the Club's AFL Premiership side. A key figure in the Bulldogs’ on-ball brigade in 2021, Liberatore played 25 games – including all four finals - while averaging 24 disposals, five tackles and eight clearances to claim the Gary Dempsey Medal for a third-place finish in the club best-and-fairest.

Above average to elite, but looked as old as Happy Days the other night.

One of half a dozen of our best players that looked underdone
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

Libba has been elite in our engine room for many years and we always do better when he is in the guts. He's a very smart player and can give us drive with some slick hands and he also not a bad shot at goal.

Elite for me. Coming off covid and played like it the other night. Understandable.

I like this take, B4L and I'm adopting it as mine now.

Even if he's still as old and decrepit as Happy Days, it was the rona that slowed him down not father time.

Looks spry and like he would still get ID’s buying beers for mine.

Libba's ball use above the average of the top 10% of players in the AFL
