        All depends upon how his foot is recovering from the stress fracture in the navicular bone. It was mentioned that Sam would be on a modified program for the 2022 season, and that playing at VFL level would make it easier to restrict his workload.

        If his recovery has reached a point where he is no longer on a modified program, and his form in the VFL warrants a promotion to the senior side, then I would be giving him a game at AFL level before the season is over.

        Otherwise, unleash him in 2023.
