We’ve stuffed it. This is emblematic of this squad. Very capable. Capable of grinding to a halt, then getting scored on very heavily, in quick succession.
It was similar to the GF capitulation. Completely on top to panic.

Well I hope the message is - you DOMINATED them with pressure for 40 minutes. Bring that again and you win this game.
We got tired and lazy, and they got a few lucky breaks. Still 15 points up at half time of an elimination final.
We thought it would all come too easy. Some easy options. Decided to not go as hard. Started to believe we were better than we were.
This team when it believes it just can win on skill and flair … LOSES. It needs to bring the pressure, the intensity and hunger to allow the skill and flair to show. That’s how it works for us.

Well. As per usual our inability to real establish scoreboard pressure has let them back into it.
We really need an avenue to goal that isn't scrambled around ball in the forward line.
We butchered the ball delivering into 50 m in the last 10 mins of that 2nd quarter. High ball for pack mark, no chance of getting the ball then . Freo rebounds and kicks 3 goals. So predictable.
Teams just need to wait for our crap 50 m pressure.
What has VDM offered today ?
JJ needs to start tackling freo players instead of trying to dance on his front toes.

No problem with the effort and intent tonight but quite simply we don't get bang for buck when dominating sides. Keeping them and the crowd in it. Getting nothing from our three tall forwards.
