I liked Ferris, Snell, Coyne and Georgiostathis efforts today. Usual suspects Fitzy, Elle and Lamb did well. Gee Edmonds impressive with those clutch marks and great tap work and Lynch did ok too.

Edmonds is playing really well. Berry was influential early until she appeared to get hurt.

There was an interesting article by Morris-Dalton in the week about juggling two jobs and then trying to front up for training and them playing. If the AFL wants to get serious they need to pay them enough to be full time and then we would see the skill levels get better because at the moment it like back in the 70's.

Re: AFLW Round 8 Western Bulldogs v St Kilda

I went along on Sunday with 2 boys and parents to the game. The boys liked the open space on the hill and the fireworks which clearly didn’t go off enough due to poor finishing.

As a spectacle it wasn’t great, but the contested play was of a high standard.

Edmonds was once again very impressive with her pressure around the ball very good and she took some great marks…. Maybe we get her to give Tim some pointers?? Blackburn was once again dominant and clearly on a different level to the rest of the players on the field.

Must say it was disappointing that we couldn’t go for a kick on the ground after the game… we like many other families stuck around for the players to exit the ground, which took a long time as my 7yo reminded me on countless occasions, but even after they departed the security wouldn’t allow patrons to enter the arena which was a head scratcher.
