Good to see Reid named as emergency. Backline is very short.

Very short side. Reid has been one of the better performers for Williamstown over the last month so it's a nice reward for him. We normally take an extra player on interstate trips so it will probably be Everitt

Who else could they have selected other than Everitt?

            Imagine if Lake got injured.

We looked rather covered with Lake Williams Everitt McDougall and Wight at the start of the season

I thought we looked very light at the start of the season. Only one of those guys has ever held down a KP at AFL level for longer than a week or two here and there.

I felt similar and it wasn't helped by the fact that nobody on the list over 6 ft 3 has held down a position as a key forward

Just reading the paper that Bradshaw is in doubt and it's obvious that Brown is playing under duress. If we can nulify the effect that these 2 have on the game it will no doubt hold is in good stead. Lake and Morris will both need to win these battles because as previously stated there aint much back-up.

Our running game got back on track in the last 45 minutes against North on the back of an improved attack on the ball and the player with the ball so let's hope we can continue on from where we left off.

If Bradshaw pulls out that's a MASSIVE bonus - he's the one guy that could really hurt us on Saturday. If he plays, I think Hargrave would get him as Lake inevitably goes to Brown, and Morris maybe more suited to a Brennan type (should he play forward which I believe he will)

Agreed on the 2nd half last week as well Mantis, I think we should win the midfield battle and have it down our end more often than not - but Bradshaw worries me should he be passed fit.

Hargrave usually picks up Brennan, but your right about Bradshaw, he is a danger man

Everitt did a good job on him earlier this year, but agree that Hargrave is his likely match-up this time around.

With no Williams, Wight or Everitt, who would step up to take Bradshaw? If they stick with Shaggy on Brennan, than it has to be Morris - he takes the likes of Riewoldt with some success, so I spose that's the way forward.

It's the one area Brisvegas can keep themselves in the game.

We'll beat Brisbane from our midfield not our defence. We can have anyone on Brown, Bradshaw and Brennan if the ball is going there regularly and with easy then it won't matter.

                              true.

brisbane really only have 2 goal kickers, and occasionally brennan bobs up and kicks a couple.

their midfield hasn't been firing for a while which is probably why they have been losing.

We are going to have to find our form in this game or our fine start to the year will amount to nothing.
