This is one of those games where you just HAVE TO TAKE YOUR OPPORTUNITIES! Set shots are a must and we've missed FIVE!
I hope we turn that around in the second half.
Too much handball in these conditions.http://journals.worldnomads.com/merantau

Put away in these conditions is having a 3 to 4 goal lead right now. The fact we're down is telling imo.
We aren't playing horribly. It's the usual concentration things that are killing us. But if we were playing a half decent side we'd be 5 goals down by now.
We need a more even contribution. Fumbling less would also help. But really, we need a sustained effort. When we've applied ourselves we've been all over them. We just haven't done it for any sustained time period.Comment

I had so many good memories of him from the VFL GF year I kind of wish they were my last of him with us. It sounds bloody harsh but that passage of play sums him up for us at AFL level.
Bont, English and Weightman clearly our best, JJ's been pretty good as well. Not sure what to think about the 2nd half, we're doing OK just don't look like we've got enough to get a W.Comment

In the second part of the last quarter I noticed him running pretty hard and trying to get the ball in his hands. It hasn?t helped that he is getting double teamed and checked before every contest- a couple he has grabbed haven?t been paid too.
He just isn?t built for the wet weather wrestle and is getting pretty mauled. If it stays dry I would leave him on- I think he will get hold of them on the lead.Comment

Looking shaky down back in the clinches, not a matter of getting to the contest, but definitely a worry winning it and then using it properly. Ball getting out the back far too often.
We look solid enough to get the scores in the board and really give ourselves a chance. But they got off to the better start and snagged that late one there to stifle our efforts to inch our way back in.Time and Tide Waits For No ManComment

Agree. We need Libba to lift great to see our all Australian HBF back playing his roleI had so many good memories of him from the VFL GF year I kind of wish they were my last of him with us. It sounds bloody harsh but that passage of play sums him up for us at AFL level.

Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.Comment

Maybe?but he still gives me shivers when the ball goes near him and I feel relieved when it goes away from him. He certainly isn?t in our worst 7-8 players.I will never see #16 the same!!Comment

We are in this. O’Brien has been good. Bruce is getting to the right spots but is a liability with the ball. We have missed Weightman! Need to see more from Jamarra and Lobb needs to take his chances.Comment
