This is my version based on where I expect players will play.

JOD seems to play key position as much as Keath or Gardner while Richards given his intercepting skills is arguably as much a 3rd tall/interceptor as anyone else (rejigged the label a bit).

I think Bedendo was set to play wing and was playing his best football there last year so that's probably where he's competing.

No idea why Darcy was in defence the club seems to have him set as a tall forward now and it's where he looks best long term. All of Scott West, McNeil and Garcia are flankers/forwards first before mids in the AFL team and I don't know that I see that changing this year. Even if they get more mid time I think it's stints in the middle rather than as main players.

Daniel could literally be anywhere game to game so he gets his own category.

Added rotations/backup options too since it's relevant when looking at things like ruck depth.

What has this taught me?
Well I knew we needed a Dureya replacement.
It's shocking how many mids/forwards don't really have a proper position/role for them.
There are a lot of wingers and I have a feeling 2-3 will be cut next year

With our final pick today, hopefully we either go with a small defender who is pure defence or a ruck who is happy to be depth. I don't think there are many standout KPDs left in the draft by the time you reach the rookie draft but you should be able to find a solid small defender.

Agree about an out and out small defender if there is a good one. I?m sure we have done our homework but Sam Toner as a pick would be exciting
