my big take from the game was Naughton at CHF. He has the tank and he really dominated further up the ground. I love this move and it exploits all of his strengths. Whilst his stats don't reflect it, i really thought it was one of his best games for us.

It cleared out space for JUH who was up against a decent opponent and held his own. (apart form the nuffie first shot on goal)

It was sop great to see a semi cohesive forward line for a change.

People were saying he was smashed in the ruck. I suppose that can happen while also having a very good game but to me that doesn't imply best 5 on the ground.

Maybe they said that in the first quarter and that was true. No one said that after the game.

Yeah people did say that. Maybe 'smashed' is unfair characterization but during the game after the first quarter and post game there have been comments of that general sentiment.
