I heard Scott say we are a quality side early in his presser which is as much praise as you'll get from the smug prick.

Geelong kicked 4 of their 7 goals in two 3 minute spells and 2 others were on turn overs which was mostly thanks to luck and ball being slippery.
I think they only kicked one goal with actual team work and good ball use on a rebound.
      Our backline was magnificent.

When was the last time we beat two top teams in a row starting as genuine outsiders in both? 2021 final series?

Not to mention one from the softest 50m pen I have ever seen and another which was a lucky free kick against Coff that had minimal inlfuence on the marking contest.

I neither travelled to Geelong, nor to the living room TV remote, to watch the game. One commentator paid acknowledgement to Ugle-Hagan's defensive efforts. Is this accurate ? Did he actually chase, tackle etc instead of waving his arms in the air or pointing at team mates ? If so, that's a monumental change in his game. After 3 1/2 years, what's happened ? That said
            1. 2 consecutive 4-goal games in 2 big wins. In the past 2 years, he's had 2 5-goalers. Let this continue.
            2. I think that Bev's peaking the team's performance, unlike C'wood.
            3. In wins, whipping boys become contributors.

I've said that your forward line is only as good as your defence in modern footy. We're defending the ground better, giving ourselves a lot of opportunities, I'd reckon Spangher's job has become a bit easier because of it.
Last week against Carlton, at quarter time, Spangher took JUH to the side and gave him a one on one to pull his finger out after a lazy first quarter - of course history shows now that he was one of the best on ground and this week has gone on with it.

Maybe he was a bit more positive than that and suggested ways in which Marra could combat the tactics being used by his opponent, which would be easier to observe and analyse from the coaches' box.

                  Their goals were free-kick city.

I got home from footy to watch the 2nd half (will get to the first half today...just gotta finish work, junior footy, et al!!).
                  - Unwarranted 50m penalty against Treloar.
                  - 6-6-6 violation.
                  - Unwarranted free-kick against Lobb.

The Geelong players were pumping fists but watching the game it was like...what do you guys think you've done? The umpires have given you the ball - you have NOT won it. You could see from the shots of the Geelong coaches box that Chris Scott was all too aware of this...

The Geelong midfield is simply not up to scratch and what they've been able to do this year is quite remarkable.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

I did not see the one on one last week between JUH and Spangher, it helps explain part of Marra form reversal.

Marra also mentioned in a post game interview Brad Johnson has helped him with his goal kicking routine - when he is lining up for goal to think through his routine and keep his head in the game. His teammates are even helping on field by reminding him.

I read about it during the week; I didn't see it either.

They also got 2 goals from soft free kicks. So overall, it was 5 goals earnt night .

I can see why Scott was upset by his team. But it was more to do with our pressure .

One outstanding state was inside 50 tackles 12-22 . That is big difference.

They AFL should come out and acknowledge that was not just wrong, it was a shit decision by the umpire.

Wet night, heavy ball, the umpire is counting down the seconds for Treloar to return the ball ?

Talk about muppet interpretation being applied.

What is a pleasant surprise is how mobile Lobb is and his ability to run with Cameron ( 100%TOG) . Super impressed how he has applied himself. What a tank on a wet night !

He is taking the game on, providing a chop out and really taking those marks . What a player he has become for us down back!

macca Lobb has always had a massive tank. He would regularly play 100 percent game time at Fremantle.

Yes his tank is natural it’s always been a strength it’s why he can pinch ruck and I might add he isn’t bad at it.
