They happen against different types as well - Lycett smashed him last year, who was so old and banged up he has since retired.
He just can’t get it going against meathead types who don’t try to get any of their own shit in and are solely focused on bashing the other guy (compliment btw). Xerri already smashed one guy (TDK, who just so happens to be Tim’s closest approximation) so bad that he quit for the year, I’m really worried about how bad he’ll do Tim in this week.

With so much at stake our performance was disappointing, to say the least.

He's not a genuine ruckman and is more or less a 4th (but tall) midfielder in our CBA's and around the ground. We will get some good performances when he's in the ruck but we will also get some poor ones. Yesterday was proof that he's not a genuine ruckman but we have to accept that is our preference to select him as a tall mid.
It's also the reason why we've apparently stuck to our guns in terms of years and dollars we have offered.

English had a few very good weeks in our big wins but his performance against the Crows lacked conviction. He gave up front position too easily and with our mids below par and beaten for pace Adelaide got too much clean ball which put our defenders under great pressure.

English had better be up and about against North as they have some decent midfielders.

He played with a sore ankle and scans show he has an injury - Bevo says he is doubtful
