Re: Bulldog ONLY Trade News
Just a little bit surprised that we don't have either Bevo or Egan in the room with Power, Grant and the team at the moment.
I guess that highlights the club a lot of faith in Power and Grant to try an extract the best deals and there is an agreement on which players we will trade and target.Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"Comment

Re: Bulldog ONLY Trade News
How much media attetntion through the entire year goes to player movement versus talking about the actual game?
It is a riduclous amount of manufactured rubbish for a tiny amount of player movement. Incredible how much this part of the media coverage has grown in recent years. The media barracking for trades so they have a story. Player Managers using the media in player negotiations. How many articles on English and Marra that they would move and then they stay put. Rinse and repeat with so many players every single year.
It is a farce. All of it. I hate it. Garbarge.Comment

Re: Bulldog ONLY Trade News
When it comes to Macrae and Daniel we (should) hold all the power ... if you'll pardon the pun.
they are both contracted and are serviceable back-ups for our midfield. If the Saints and North want them that badly, then they pay up. Otherwise we keep them to their contracts.Comment

Re: Bulldog ONLY Trade News
Putting the emotion to one side, Macrae and Daniel are also fringe players for us in 2024 (and likely more so in 2025). And they are older and more expensive than the 2 targets potentially coming in."Look at me mate. Look at me. I'm flyin'"Comment

Re: Bulldog ONLY Trade News
If we're freeing up capital for Butters then fine but if we think O'Halloran and Kennedy will improve us over CD and JMac's output, well I'm not sold on that.
The Butters (or any other blue chip trade-in), thingo seems a long way away from materialising.
It's shit when you tell a player you want them long term and set a high contract and then it gets hard and you try to offload them. Especially Premiership players.
I kind of feel like Collingwood at the moment. But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.Comment
