I have been scouring some footy forums and just about every new article going around and speaking to some mates searching for a couple of likely picks for us come draft day.
Tasmania
Liam Jones got a mention on the Herald Suns site yesterday. Good size for a forward but has been recovering from injury.
Aaron Cornelius is a tall key position player how has played some senior football.
Western Australia
Clancee Pearce is a hard working ball winning midfielder and defender with some doubts on his kicking skills.
Neville Jetta is a smooth moving small utility who I heard referred to as a poor mans Nathan Brown.
Jarrad Blight is a 191cm very athletic utility who can play on smaller or taller opponents.
Matthew DeBoer seems to be sliding down the pecking order and if we are looking to add a physically mature youngster he could be in the mix.
South Australia
Ryan Schonemakers a 193cm athletic forward who got a mention of us taking in yesterdays Herald Sun
Rhys O'Keffe is an athletic defender and someone that the Dogs were supposed to be interested in.
Rhys Stanley must appeal as the Dogs look at adding another ruckman to the squad.
Victoria
Jordan Roughead would be a great ruckman or key forward prospect
Tom Hill is another ruckman but more athletic than Roughead
Taylor Gilchrist is someone that the Dogs recruiting staff were supposed to be keeping an eye on.
Sam Wright is a highly regarded good sized forward forward
Casey Sibosado has a nice blend of size and athleticism
Jayden Post a local boy who has great height and pace for a key defender
James Strauss is a a ball winning footballer who could slide down to our picks
Will Young is a promising athletic key forward
and finally two Geelong based smokey's that I heard we were interested in.
Luke Rounds has heaps of pace and Zac Ledin who had a few injuries worries but heaps of talent.
I'm not sure who our targets could really be but I hope we get a combination of either Roughead, Schoenmakers, O'Keefe, Pearce or Rounds.
Has anyone got any other names worth mentioning ?
