Got a photo with the bearded one and had my Hudson scarf signed by the great man at the Irish club in WA after the game on Sunday.

Gia on SEN after the game mentioned that Hudson is probably the best ruckman in the game apart from Sandilands.

Is there anyone that challenges this theory? Ottens is too injury-prone, and Jolley's been below his best so there has to be some merit in this argument.

No challenge, just a seconder. Our most consistently solid performer in the team week in week out this season. IMO

Just given heads up from a source that there is some/one in the club who feel that the BHBAS have gone too far with the shirts and scarfs and such. He/she/they think that it is creating a distraction and putting Ben Hudson in a similar position as Akermanis and the Handstand and like the Handstand, it should be stopped. Even the copyright to Ben Hudson's image was expressed as an possible form of legal tactic. The People's Beard must go in order to kill off the Society and have "this rot over and done with!"?!??

Is Hudson to be told to shave?

What would this mean?

Where do we stand legally?

Should we be concerned?

Are we having a joke pulled on us?

Or is it a case of "Can I have some Chinese whispers with Bulldog short-hirsute and two steamed dim sims, please?"

If this is true then I am really disappointed that a club would think this way. Fans love their players and a free to express their love in any way they feel. Its not the same as the handstand, that handstand is created by the player himself, its not as if Ben asked us to worship his beard.

Personally, I would ignore anything the club says, or any individual in the club.

Mini-Update - The proposal is currently working its way through a few layers of bureaucracy but it is looking pretty good. Stay tuned and get a beard onya.

True! However when we suggested Freo we weren't expecting to be an important game so maybe not Round 17! I am hoping to have a discussion with the Dogs Commercial Department this week so we will have an answer v soon either way. Please note, this necessary delay is all due to the Dog's timing rather than the management committee dragging their feet.

Sorry I missed this earlier. I will get this cleared up asap. We have made it clear to the club that this is all in fun and is not intended to be a distraction from The Plan! But we also don't want to be all No Fun Pants just because someone at the club is a bit unhappy about idiots on the internet.
