Re: The Ben Hudson's Beard Appreciation Society.

I wore my scarf to the game on saturday night....have no idea how i kept it on in that heat(probably wasnt such a smart idea to leave it on for the game, considering how hot and humid and muggy it was)....but i did.....and held it up after the game.....Huddo saw it and gave me a smile and thumbs up.......such an awesome scarf.....

Any plans for another scarf production, Pie Man? Would love one for my brother's milestone birthday coming up.

What odds of fans donning beards in the style of kids at a primary school production, or the Soggy Bottom Boys in O Brother Where Art Thou? Imagine 15,000 plus scraggers in the crowd looking something like this:

BigantStudios is going to give us a preview for any Head that we want to see, prior to the game coming out I have canvassed the 20 most popular options If i didnt pick your favourite player, then HTFU and get over it, its only a preview for a video game

Chance to have a fully rendered computer modelled version of Hudson by BigAnt studios (who are currently making the new AFL video game).

Vote away guys, it will look good here is Daisy Thomas for reference

Was in Beechworth recently and, being one of the Kelly Gang hangouts (Ned was tried at the Beechworth Courthouse), this look was actually pretty normal wear even in 2010.

Actually, have we thought about linking Ben to Ned? Talk about folk hero!

Please forgive my ignorance, but why do we need the club's permission to wear a false beard?

I hope it hasn't come to this?

No we don't need their permission. But we thought it was good manners to ask. The delay is because they have some kind of process (which does seem to be taking a while) The first plan is to do something a bit more high profile and possibly involve the people's beard himself, raise some money for charity that sort of thing.

So we want the club's sign off on anything that they think might have an impact on the players. Remember, the object of the exercise is to win a flag. If the club decide that it is a bad idea for any reason, then we would need to consider that carefully before we did anything.

If the club don't want to get involved I imagine we will have a simple (and rather pleasant) Wear A Beard Day just for the hell of it. I am sure I will hear from them any day now and we will have an answer either way.

Don't be surprised if 'Akergate' has something to do with the club's current reticence to be seen to endorse an event which glorifies the individual over team (even if it is just tongue in cheek.) Our timing is just a little unfortunate imo.

Our timing? We have been talking to the club since the start of the season.

                        waiting... waiting...

Bumped into that "process"or one just like it myself just recently. Advocating on behalf of others and still waiting weeks after first contact was made. Had no reply whatsoever. None. Nil. Nada. Zip. Zero.
