The Aker clear hold was one I would have liked more than anything, yet another clear free kick that was not paid.
    Let me add two other cases of incorrect disposal in the last quarter;

    1. Corey gets tackled on the wing as he faces the crowd. He attempts to handball with his right hand, yet the ball is propelled across his body with his left hand and travels ten meters towards the Geelong end

    2. Ling gets tackled in the centre, attempts to handball and clearly fails to make contact with his fist.

By far the worst however was that non-decision against Wojinski in the third quarter when he lost the ball in the tackle as he tried to run out of defence. How does an umpire miss something like that?
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.

One thing that Geelong does much better than us is to give protection to it's key players (particularly Ablett).

The rest of them just clear the path for him beautifully. Where as we just run away expecting a handball receive from Cooney and Griffen while they are trying to bust tackles.

I believe i just saw Ling hanging off Coon's back pocket trying to get his wallet out to pay for his weekly groceries.

Ling is good at what he does, but its cheating, Boyd did a similar thing to Kerr last season, and everyone was up in arms for holding on.

On every occasion, Ling had his arms wrapped around Cooney, could you imagine a defender trying to do that to a forward and getting away with it? Not a chance in hell.

Like what David Johnson did to Aker in the last 90 seconds.... He gave away 5 free kicks in 5 seconds and got away with all of them.

Did Akermanis hold onto Johnson the passage of play before that?
More of an In Bruges guy?

Yes, and yes Aker should have had a free against him a few minutes earlier for pulling Johnsons top and dragging him off to get clear - both cancelled each other out.

In that scenario, it’s almost a shame that Aker is such a clean player – he just gets on with the job rather than whingeing and playing for free kicks.

If the shoe was on the other foot and Gary Jr was being mauled, you can guarantee the umpire would’ve known about it.

Yeah but Ablett's a sook, as good as he is as a player, and was shown to be a sook on Brownlow night where's a player like Simon Black or even Richo both took it in their stride and generally seemed happy for the winner, Ablett is a "me" player, and showed that on occasions during the game with a few selfish efforts.

I get that impression too. Not willing to hang around and watch the game when he is not playing. Having shots at goal from 55 on the boundary. When he can't find space himself, he looks for the one-two rather than actually giving it off to a better placed team mate. Bit Kevin Bartlett like.
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

I tell you what, if that was Richo or a player from a struggling team right now going home during a game, he would have been taken to the cleaners by all media!!!!
