Blimey the ''Veale Deal'' what a non event that was for all concerned. Danny Jacobs to Hawthorn,Pick 6 to The Bombres [kepler Bradley]. Now that is the ultimate Nil Nil Draw.

Rawlings had a bung knee and Rhode wanted to play him at Centre Half Forward when he had played primarily as a defender for Hawthorn

Koops, Morgan, Veale, Rawlings, Street...the list goes on.......

All players we could have done without and gave up valuable draft picks because one 'genius' was more concernfocused on developing a rubber band/band aid solution to save his own skin

Hence why the senior coach shouldnt be the primary decision maker for recruitment + selection

The previous season Rawlings played CHF for Hawthorn and was one of the AFL leading marks for the season. Kicked about 40 goals that year and polled 11 votes in the brownlow, so was in top form. I remember being very excited he was coming to the dogs. He actually had a big year in 2004, have a look at his record.

2005, played very few games due to injury and that was that.

All you posters are very clever in hindsight, but if you wound back the clock, and knowing we were looking for a power forward, you would do the same thing all over again.

I got excited in Rawlings first game for us, I think it was against West Coast and he kicked 4 or 5 goals for memory

After that it was all downhill

In round 16, Richmond take on North Melbourne. Does anyone know the last time (or if it has ever happened) a coach's brother was in the opposition team? Be interesting to know.

Syd Coventry might have coached us vs Gordon (Collingwood).

Robert Walls (at Richmond) might have coached against his son, David (Carlton).
John Kennedy (at North) vs John Jr (Hawthorn).

Why do you care? What is your reasoning?

Re: Jade Rawlings - Tigers new coach

Best of luck to Jade - bizarre that he potentially will coach his brother in law later in the year who happens to be 3 years older than him.

It's been mentined that he's only the interim coach - it seems that it's assumed that he has no chance next year (as in it's almost been agreed to) ...is this really the case? Why would he take it if he thought he'd have no hope of getting the gig full time?

He presents well, no doubt there

Come on, lets not re-write history. Let th history books show Koops was a good player and a decent pick-up. Injury ruined him.
