Watching it live was a little bit uncomfortable, but I'll reserve full judgement for a video replay.

Doubt it, was a clash of heads. "Using head recklessly"?

Was that the 50m penalty to Maxwell?

Clash of heads, lot's of TV commentory from Brian "the brainless" Taylor about how that's what happens when you tackle instead of bumping.

Might be sighted just because it involved heads but shouldn't go any further and they've got lots of more serious stuff from other games.

Mind you they invent new stuff whenever a Bulldog player goes up so one can never be certain.

No seperate incident which the umpire ignored.

The Maxwell one was Gia, which I thought was fine as he tried to avoid the bump.

Nah that was Gia; nothing in that at all, just some acting by Maxwell. Cross put a hit on McCarthy when he had an opportunity to tackle.

The Maxwell 50 was crap Gia stood his ground and Maxwell ran into him.
Cross will be ok, incidental contact in the act of tackling.

Cross' wasn't even a bump, it was just a poorly executed tackle where the heads clashed. Just that one is a soft pie and the other is Cross.

Not a shirt front, it was a front on tackle. Can't go for rough play as that only applies when a player chooses to bump instead of tackle and accidently strikes the head. And as the player didn't have his head over the ball when he was tackeld it shouldn't be reportable at all.
