That was me . Watching the game I thought he defended well and stayed with his opponent up the ground, was composed with the ball in hand and also in his delivery to team mates. He did not simply handball backwards and rely on our traditional rebounders as he sometimes does, accepting the responsibility to find a target to deliver to. Mooney, Hawkins and Ottens had only 3 goals between them despite Williams being out, I figured someone should get the credit and I thought Lake did not mark as many balls and did not spot up targets as well.
I have seen a few posters and the player ratings contradict my view, and I am happy to concede I could be off the mark
