Re: AFL Members
A couple of questions for anybody that is an AFL member:
I was thinking of taking up an AFL membership with Western Bulldogs support. I currently just have a regular GA membership + Social Club. Would I drop the general membership and just maintain the social club (for Grand Final tickets)?
As a bronze member do you get access to guest passes in the same numbers as silver and gold members for H&A games? I know the number of passes varies between games.Comment

An AFL Membership with club support means you are a full club member. I have reserved seats. For my reserved seats, I only pay the seat component of the membership as the AFL Membership counts as base the membership. I'm not sure about Social Club, but assume it would work the same. Also, you need to ensure you talk to someone and advise them that you are an AFL Member so you get the "discounted" rate. They just don't do it automatically.
As I have been a Gold Member for a long time, I'm not too sure about the guest passes. But both my kids are Silver Members and they have the same access to guest passes as I do.
Hope that helps. Happy to anwser any other questions.Last edited by angelopetraglia; 08-10-2024, 03:37 PM.Comment

Re: AFL Members
The cost is not much more than a GA membership but with access to the AFL members if I want with generally better seats than GA. Also a foot in the door to higher levels of AFL membership down the track. I'm on the MCC waitlist but I'm thinking its going to be a waste of money once I get there as we never play at the G.Comment

Re: AFL Members
I have been a Gold Member since 1995. I have been to 25 Grand Finals in that time. It has been worth it for that reason alone. I have also gone to a lot of finals as a neutral. For away games at Marvel, I will often book a seat on the wing on the bottom deck. The biggest benefit is at the MCG, as the reserve has great seats, so it is a pity we don't play their more often.
Also, when the Bulldogs make the GF, club support members get first crack at GF tickets. So you are pretty much guarenteed getting a ticket. In 2016, even my two children as Silver Members had the opportunity to purchase tickets to the GF. For the GF it does depend on who is playing on how easy it is to get tickets.
The only time I have not been able to get a ticket to the GF when I have wanted to go is when Collingwood has played on a couple of occasions. However, this year with two interstate clubs, it was much easier, we got tickets on the bottom deck, half way up, on the HF line.
(On topy of my AFL Membership, I have reserved seats on the bottom deck for Bulldogs home games).Last edited by angelopetraglia; 09-10-2024, 01:18 PM.Comment
