    Bulldogs - New Years Resolutions

OK just a little fun, What do you think our boys have promised each other for season 2010.

    Could it be;

Eagle - to get a hard ball each game?
    Barry - Not get reported?
Tommy Gun - Play 22 games with no injury?
Minson - Not to give any 50m penalties away?
Lake - No brain Fades this year?

    The team 2010 Premiers??????
    BB.

Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.

Murph - to lighten up a little with his articles he writes.

Cross - to take the first option (even if it means kicking it).

Johnno - to kick the winning goal after the siren in round 9.

Griff - to break the sound barrier with the speed with which he kicks the ball.

Huddo - to take Tiger's spot in the Gillette ads.

Aker - to continue to be ever so humble.

Huddo - Powerslam tackle one opposition midfielder per half of football (per quarter if a final)

Harbrow - To pick up Jonathon Brown at the opening bounce vs. Lions just to remind Brown what happened at their last marking contest.

Rocket - To keep the swear word rate under 15 per minute (unless playing Collingwood)

Cooney - Will take on the spot as our 3rd ruck, after destroying Dean Cox in 2008 he hopes to take on the likes of Aaron Sandilands!

Boydy: if you have the ball, and no body is presenting for you. Forget about waving the "Billy Bowden bent finger" and just run yourself. You can do it son.
Linds and Hargers, don't wait for Rocket to ask, offer to shift up to the wings so our forwards can get more acurate and deep penatrating delivery on a regular basis.
Aker and Jonno see if you still have enough leg speed to outrun Father Time for another couple of years yet. Please.
The kids down at Willy [Roughy, Jonesy, Reid and Stacky etc], come on guys you can put some real pressure on the blokes in the seniors this year. Go for it!
Crossy and Dylan A. please continue to show courage over and above the sensible, and we promise to keep preying for your survival.
Barry please be GOOD, in every sense of the word, and you might just win over the Doggie faithful the way Aker has done.
Bill D., this group is at it's most devistating on the run, please make them the 'runningest' team in existence.

Re: Bulldogs - New Years Resolutions

Sam Reid has promised to attack loose balls only on the field... (not on the bench)
Tom Williams has promised to wear a full body armour of steel 24/7.
Griff promises to have an impact in all 4 quarters of one game at least once in the season.
Aker promised to do his bit for political correctness and draw upon his Spanish roots to do ads for Mission's new taco range... "Discover the spirit of the conquistadors and explore Mission's new range of taco shells"

How about some WOOF flavoured resolutions...

                        In 2010:

                        - Mantis will continue to display his man-love for Nathan Eagleton
                        - Lantern will stop posting small, pithy 4 paragraph replies and try to average 8 paragraphs per post
                        - comrade will start appreciating the talents of Jarrad Boumann
                        - TCD will actually learn some Bulldogs history
                        - ErnieSigley will speak his mind more
                        - Mofra will stop being so serious and add some humour
                        - GVGjr will watch more games of football (3 games a week isn’t enough)
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Eagle will kick the ball over 40 metres...............................from a standing start.

Lake will let go a short pass and hit his team-mate on the chest rather than the half-volley.

Big Will will jump through a pack and annihilate at least six Essendon backmen in the process.

Rocket will lose the word "probably" entirely from his vocabulary.

Cameron will stop speaking with the animation of Elliot Goblett.

Cam Rose will perform Col Elliott at the office Christmas Party

That "probably" won't happen... but if it does, it'll leave more room in his speeches to tell everyone how "pleasing" certain things are.
