50 Games - at last - Tom Williams

We normally don't celebrate a 50 game milestone with great enthusiasm but in Tommy's case its about bloody time.

Drafted in 2004 at number 6 overall (after Buddy 5th and Griffen 3rd), Williams career has been very unlucky with several injuries. This season he has played 16 of 18 games and is starting to show why the Dogs have had faith in him.

Tommy is important to our structure and we wish him well in his next 50 games.
    FFC: Established 1883

    Premierships: AFL 1954, 2016 VFA - 1898,99,1900, 1908, 1913, 1919-20, 1923-24, VFL: 2014, 2016 . Champions of Victoria 1924. AFLW - 2018.

He was quiet happy with himself when he kicked that goal on the weekend.

Against St Kilda at the dome two years ago after a mark on the 50 line and a fifty meter penalty.

My guess would be against the Saints 2-3 years ago at Docklands. IIRC he went forward for a while in a game we won quite comfortably.
That's off the top of my head.

Congratulations Tom! There was a time where I didn't think he'd make it to 50 games.

                    Here's to the next 50!!!

Speaking of 50, I think this is my 50th post. YAY!!! It only took me nearly a year!

I thought he looked as comfortable on Sunday as I've seen him. Did some fine mopping up in the first half when others put him under pressure. Still some way to go but I reckon he's gonna make it
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.

We simply need to get games into him. He will be our next Lake, the guy who we rely upon every week to take the monsters/no 1 forwards.

That was pretty funny. He was so pumped up and then you can almost see the moment when he says to himself "play it cool, Tom" and stopped fist pumping.

Glad he's finally gotten to 50 games, I think it'll be another 50 before we really know what we're going to get from Tom in the long run.

How good was Brian Harris after 50 games?
