Apparently something was shown on Channel 7 last night, I cannot for the life of me work out what it was between all the craziness at BF.

If anyone saw it, would they care to elaborate on what was said?

I'm still a bit nervous about trade week.

Same here, I didn't see the news but everyone's making whatever it was to be a guarantee that Fevola will be at Whitten Oval next year, surely we'd be one of the last clubs he'd want to play for.

I'm still a bit nervous about trade week.

Seems like CH7 indicated that we thought Fev was over-priced (wanting more than $700,000) and won't give pick 5 for him. (At least that's what a decent poster wrote of the report.)

Clearly we've sniffed around Fev, just like we need to do with Judd and the rest of the possibly available talent. But I don't think the kind of hysteria this has generated is going to help the time to trade week pass more quickly...

eade just said on sen that the club is highly unlikely to trade first rnd pick.....he said if he was to trade pick 5 it would be for a 22 or 23yr old player not 27 (fev)....

Yes he wanted 7 years from a player if we were to trade a first round draft pick for a player.

Wouldn't confirm anything. Said he didn't want to start a whole lot of speculation. Very evasive but did say that Clayton would speak to all the player managers in the coming weeks.

He did talk about Judd.

Good to see the club is being sensible in this situation... We'd be derelict in our duty to check out any decent player who might be either up for trade or approaching the end of contract, but I'm glad Eade is from these reports sticking to his guns as to what we will give up.
By the reports on BF you'd think it was a done deal and hear very little other than bellicose grandstanding.... good to have a plce like this where there is serious discussion.
