Sitting in my lounge chair at home, hurling abuse at the TV, and wishing I could actually be there ... I would fight Ticketek for hours for the chance to watch my team in the finals live !!

Re: Week 1 - Where are you sitting?

Just a quick note guys if your wondering if your seats are undercover as it looks like a wet night for the game, i emailed communications@mcc.org.au and asked whether my seat (lvl 2a southern p section) was undercover and they responded with a prompt friendly response letting me know. Unfortunately for all of us in 2a bring the wet weather gear. Response below.

"Thanks for your email and believe me not at all strange! We get many
        people asking the same question.

All bays on Level P of the southern stand are not situated undercover so
it would be wise to bring along your wet weather gear!

We hope you enjoy the match.

She tells me there's probably wheelchair seats available but they'll have to call me back - in the next 2 hours! They call as I'm driving off from work. I ring back, and they 'have no record' of my previous call!!!. So I spend another hour on the phone, getting through to one bloke after 45 mins who tells me I've rung the wrong number (the one they gave me!). After sailing round the world and back again, I get a ticket in M53, row NN.

            Joke is right, Mantis.

            Rant over.
I'm glad you finally managed to get a ticket AndrewP6 but sorry you had so much trouble. The runaround you were given is an absolute disgrace!

Me too! I think I am, from memory I've sat in a similar spot before, and it has been.

Why did I cancel all those seats selected for me under cover.

I might have to bring a snorkel tonight.

Re: Week 1 - Where are you sitting?

I'll be sitting in front of my computer as ESPN3.com will be showing the match starting at 4.20am Chicago time. I'm going to bed in an hour or so and get up at about 4am. I just made some sausage rolls, using a recipe adapted by ex-pats using ingredients found here. I made some for the NAB Cup Grand Final and they turned out OK. I also have five bottles of James Boag Premium lager left from a trip to Cincinnati in April so I'll be having one of them too. A few hours after the match concludes I'm heading off to Kansas City Missouri to a theme park to ride some roller coasters. Not bad for a 58 year old, eh?

If we beat Collingwood, I'll definitely fly in for the PFs and GF. If we lose I'll probably postpone my trip until the start of the 2011 season. If we lose we'll be playing Saturday evening next weekend. That match will conclude just a few hours before I'm due to fly out, and I just don't want to wait until the last minute to make a decision. Even if we'd win that match, I'm not too sure we'd beat St Kilda in a PF. So the dice are set to roll on how we do against the Magpies. The only two losses I've seen in the nine matches I've been to during my Melbourne visits have been against Collingwood in 2002 and Round 1 this year. I haven't been to a game where we've beaten Collingwood since Round 9 in 1999.

I really, really want to fly to Melbourne next weekend, so c'mon Doggies!

                            M3 Row AA.

Starting to get really pumped although I am heading off to a funeral in about 40 minutes so the mood is somewhat tempered.
