I'm not flying out for another couple of hours but I can't sleep.

MASSIVE game. I think we're a real shot, especially after seeing Sainters get up last night.

Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Wind coming in off the northern plains, has a warmish tinge, certainly not cold. Rain coming in form the north north west through central Victoria, we are catching the southern tip of the band and getting regular showers, but nothing really heavy since the morning. Wind is the issue, must be up to 60-70km and has been picking up since noon. Will be very wet at the G and very, very windy, as predicted.

The timing feels right after two consecutive Collingwood losses and two consecutive QF losses.

Thanks 1eyedog. Its going to be a very interesting night. Hopefully these conditions will curb the run that Obrien and Shaw generate and also make players like Boyd, Picken and Cross come to the fore.

I'm a bit worried about Bazza in these conditions as he struggles to get into the game. Time will tell.

A little, though I get the feeling Pies fans will be a bit more nervous than us, expectation etc. Malthouse sounded pretty nervous on the radio earlier today

Apparently it's bucketed down in the city. My side of town hasn't really been hit... it's rained, and a bit windy, but the sun was out half an hour ago!
