The squad for next weeks NAB games?

Given the injuries etc and after yesterdays hit out what sort on line-up do you think we will field against Geelong and North Melbourne?

If he is fit I'd like to see Barlow included and I would think we could even use Hahn.

It will be interesting to see how we use the 4 ruckman and if Cordy is used as a defender.

We would have to lock Wallis and Howard in for a run.

    Any other suggestions?

Moles, Wallis and Djerkurra may all be battling it out for a sub spot so you'd expect them to be going hammer and tong.

Barlow seemed to be struggling with a thigh issue so he may miss. Murphy is out for another week with the ankle - Howard should take his spot across the half back line.

How many do you think they will play and or are they limited, by the rules as to how many??
Would suggest some senior players may have a rest and a few newbies will get a run!

We are playing two games in a row so the only guys we can bring into our side for the 2nd game are those on our emergency list/rest of squad (however it works, anyway about 4 changes max).

Teams with a break get to make as many changes as they want.

This also keeps opposition coaches guessing leading up to the regular season.
NAB is so different, no flooding, missing KPPs, better off to use it as you say OTB, wheel out the kids who might not get much of a run in the regular season..Libba etc.
Hope they put Barry / Huddo on ice.

DJ, Howard, Wallis, Vezpremi, Sherman should all play as should Markovic, and I'd be inclined to give Cordy a run also

Though that said - how many players are in the squads are NAB cup games

Eade currently on the radio just mentioned that Schofield will get a game,

Was happy with Higgins, Wallis, Skinner, Gia, Roughead.

DJ and Sherman did a few things without setting the world on fire, Vez didn't do much.

Wants to win NAB cup but will go in with a measured approach to certain players.

Demograhpics of the group has changed with the influx of younger players and exit of older players.

Wasn't sure where to post this, but here will do. The 3 pool games at Kardinia Park on Sunday have all been brought forward 30 minutes.

Although he probably has a lot more to offer towards winning a game than some other players I don't see the value in selecting Hahn.

This year Hahn just needs to keep fit and hopefully in form at Willy.

Every other listed player should be considered for selection before Hahn.

To be honest I would rather see Zeph butcher the ball all day long than see Hahn spear it lace out to Hall, 40 out directly in front.

My sentiments don't extend past the NAB cup matches however.

Thanks Coon Dog. I will make sure I'm in front of the tv half an hour earlier.

I have not been to Skilled before and am unsure on a couple of things.

Are there likely to be any issues with seating if just using general admission?

Not sure if I should pre book. On the one hand it is only NAB cup but having three teams involved makes me a little unsure........

                      Any thoughts fellow Woofers?

Don't go over the city side of the ground, esp early on as you wont see much due to the sun being in your eyes from memory.

There are also some areas where support poles have been strategically placed to limit ones viewing.

Thanks Coon Dog, I had looked at the train times and fares, but the train home was too close to the end of the last game. With games 30 mins earlier works out good now. FYI from Werribee train is only $6.60 return for adults, kids free and Concession $3.30, could not drive for that. There is a train from Werribee at 2:26pm and one home leaving at 7:42pm, games should be finished by 7pm. These trains are two and from South Geelong which is 5 mins walk to ground.

I've never been to Skilled Stadium before either. I can't decide whether to go or not. I'm an AFL member, I just find the NAB Cup really boring. Especially this format. In general, football doesn't entertain me like it once did. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's the greatness of the NBA over the years and the recent love for the NFL coming to the fore that has changed my mind about our game.
