After watching this game you have to admit the future isn't looking THAT bad. Look at the kids go! A very average and scruffy game overall on the contrast though

Not all doom and gloom, but boy that was, to quote Rex Hunt, "Shizenhousen"... As commentators said at one point, this is why these teams are where they are. For the bulk of that game, I sat there thinking "What a pathetic effort to send off 3 greats with". However, at least some positives came out of it. Vez showed some really good smarts, hope he's able to step up next year - we're certainly going to need it. Picken and Cross just give everything for the team and jumper. Wallis was pretty good, as was Libba. Marko acquitted himself well I thought. Griff with that long goal - just great.

Tomorrow I'll post on the 3H's ( when the drinks have worn off! )

What did you all think of William's performance?

        His presser was funny.

I meant to mention it earlier, does anyone know why Schofield was subbed off? Was there something wrong with him?

I thought he was playing pretty well, and that he looks a player that we need to get as many games into as quickly as possible.

I thought it was a weird one also. Glad Vez played a full game and Higgins started as the sub.

Off topic, I loved the way Dahlhaus grabbed his jumper after he kicked his goal as if to say, "I am proud to be wearing this jumper, unlike you Ward"

I liked his game. A couple of beautiful spot-ups by foot that only talented players who understand the game could pull off. One in the forward pocket back to Ward in the centre corridor showed sublime skill and poise.

Like wise. Schofield has been more impressive with the footy than I expected. ATM he's looking like developing into a shorter version of Shaggy who uses the ball a bit better coming out of defence.

I was hoping Ward would be subbed off after his numerous half hearted efforts out there.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

What I don't understand is that he has played AFL previously at Swans and should know what fitness levels are required at this level, yet he has been unfit for the whole season. I did here he is a tadd lazy, however, If he can can really put in this preseason, he should be able to get into our best 22.

Well he has not done that before, if he ever was going to do it, you would think when he was red hot against Carlton.

He really reminds me of a yappy version of Picken - surprisingly good kick, has some real mongrel about him too.
Looks like we will have a replacement for Hudson as our best sledger

Great to have some young enthusiastic players like Dahl and Schofield. Libba, Jones, Wallis look the shy type but these boys show there enthusiasm.

I also like the way Vez gets pumped up. We have been a bloody quiet bunch since the three amigos. Football has become so clinical.
