Optimist: Hopefully crack 35,000 which would be the highest membership figure in our clubs history.

Realist: Most likely in and around the 30,000 mark for season 2012.

I don't know about 35,000 but we should hose in 32,000 we play a few games in melbourne early so that should help us out.

If we get around 32,000 that's pretty good. Under 30,000 would be disappointing.

Agreed. The club tries as hard as it can to build the membership base but the end result is very much linked to our on field performance. Under 30,000 would be a disaster.

I looked at our membership tallies over the years and it seemed to boost very dramatically at one point, with all the new suburbs opening up our way now I think it will happen again soon.
This Asian kid we have could be a spring as well to it, a bit like Meltons house prices they stay stagnant for 10 years then wham in one year it doubles, not expecting double though just yet

We had a group of 12 Auskick kids at Etihad last Sunday and three were Bulldogs supporters.

Wouldn't have seen that in the Eastern Suburbs a decade ago.

Definitely in the Eastern Suburbs today there are lot of Dogs supporters im sure as its a big area. Recently at my local Vermont South Shopping Centre I saw a Bulldogs sticker on a car which was good to see.

Just was interested in people's thoughts about ways to increase membership. Obviously being successful is the main way to increase it but I was thinking that the Bulldogs could go to all part of Melbourne (South, East (where I am) and North) from time to time to promote the club and get some new supporters along with the supporters we have in the Western Suburbs.

Just got my kennel club membership (can't make matches due to family commitments this year) Western Front states that there are over 23,000 signed up members.

Clicked over 24,000 now, still a long way off where we should be (in my opinion)

Not sure how others are placed but we're all still waiting for our membership cards for 2012 to arrive and we had them paid for prior to Xmas. Club has informed us that they should now be in the post but why should it take so long to get these out to members ? Just hoping they arrive before Round 1.
Are others in the same situation ?

Thats pretty poor considering you can get in for free this Saturday at Geelong with the card.

I think the old man goes to the club to renew in October or early November - and we got our tickets about 2-3 weeks ago - which is fine. You'd think that all memberships should be received by mid to late next week at the latest - otherwise they'kll be fielding plenty of calls.

BD, looks like I'll be paying to get in on Saturday for the Geelong game

The Club have obviously had issues this year with their membership card distribution.

A number of us received the following eMail from the Club today.

                              Dear Doc26

Thank you for choosing to be part of the Western Front in 2012.

On behalf of the Western Bulldogs, I would like to sincerely apologise that you are yet to receive your membership card.
The delay is a result of an error in the card fulfillment process. I would like to reassure you that both the Western Bulldogs and it’s third parties have been working closely together to ensure that this error does not occur again.

We have received confirmation that your membership card will be mailed to your address on Monday afternoon, to be received in time for Round 1 of the Toyota AFL Premiership Season.

Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

I look forward to seeing you at the footy and sharing an exciting and successful journey in 2012.

                              Kind Regards,
