Great news IMO. Always liked the way he carries himself.

Surely not! Are there any other Geelong retirees in need of a job? We are like a retirement village for the cats.
They've done studies you know, 60% of the time, it works every time!

Maybe they could all turn out for the Footscray VFL team?
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Where did we get all this spare cash from? The difference between Macca's salary and Rocket's?
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Pretty sure Peter Gordon organised a bunch of business people, plus the AFL to spend more on fooy department

I think the football department has been better funded since Gordon took over.

Very happy, apparently a few clubs including the Eagles were heavily into him so to win out is a terrific result for the footy department

Apart from cash, location is a key factor here. 50 minutes up the guts, if that. I used to drive to my sister's house from Geelong, where she is, very near Whitten Oval. Two left turns involved in the whole trip.

Another good addition to the club. I wonder if it's a full time position

Absolute class act as a player, so consistently effective

I like the group McCartney has put around him

He needs guys he knows and trusts but he's also added to that with Bulldogs of quality (Smith, Monty) and Hansen from external

Disagree. McCartney is bringing to the club experienced players who have won premierships. This is extremely beneficial to a young list like ours as they are taught what is required to be a champion team. Winning a premiership is not won on skill alone; it is about developing a strong culture and there isn't a better model than the Geelong team from 2007-2012. Thus I believe it is a great move by the club to be able to utilise the skills and knowledge of players from this great team.
