I've heard it a couple of times know the Garry Lyon wrote a letter (or something to that effect) a couple of years ago to Bontempelli.

Does anyone know the circumstances that lead to it?

I never thought I'd be comparing Bont and Jack Anthony but one time I saw Jack Anthony at a pool bar in Bali and it was giving similar vibes. Just another bogan in Bali.

I think the shade makes it look like he's missing a tooth or two.

I think it's disappointing because the previous image implied it was gonna be a full chest piece.

Now I didn't think that would have been a good choice, but at least it'd be something. He's instead gone for three very non committal little pieces and imo if you are going to do the little piece thing quantity>quality absolutely, so unless he has more planned it just instantly looks like regret.
