No. 1 Ticket Holder 2014 ???

No Politics or Stupidity. I'm sick of my threads on this being railroaded and then rightfully deleted!


It seems or current #1 ticket holder is moving away from our region and interstate, taking time out to lecture and write books and step away from the spot light more generally. This is what the press has reported her as saying anyway.

I'm assuming we might mutually thank each other and specifically her for her service and find someone else who can take on the mantle. If that's the case, thank you Julia for promoting the dogs at every opportunity and enjoy academia and semi retirement. The timing seems right for each other for a change.

So if we are looking to replace, who are the candidates?
Is it about thanking those who move heaven and earth for us?
Is it about using their celebrity to help gain exposure?
Can we/should we give it to someone who has had it before?


I'll start by saying someone with this title should have a decent record of supporting, including long term membership. Ideally someone with some level of celebrity to promote the club, but this is not essential for mine. I think it should also be someone who hasn't had the title before, as a personal opinion.

I will have to have a think about it before posting, but I would like someone that is going to promote the club, who has been a life long supporter and is seen in the public eye as someone well respected.

I just threw up a little.

He does more harm than good for the club. He's just an immature football fan who makes emotional outbursts with little consideration of the bigger picture, he'd fit right in on the Facebook page. If he really gave a shit about the club he would use his media mouth piece to assist the club, all he does is run it down and create instability.

Not sure what his interest level would be but he is certainly on the upper end of names with cache.

I believe Peter Gordon our current president was the number 1 male ticket holder before Julia but I'm not entirely sure on that.
