The Gia Suspension / MRP Closest to The Pin Lottery

I have no idea anymore when it comes to the MRP, so I thought I'd see a closest to the pin type lottery as a snap shot of our own interpretations as to the MRP on Gia's match day report.

Let's see - he is not a big name, big money player, he's not at one of the big money or AFL lovechild clubs...so that's worth 4 weeks at least.

Exactly as guessed. The first three votes for three different outcomes. Plus FScarys 4 weeks option above!

If it were GAJ, the Port player would have been made to apologise by now for causing Mr Ablett to be falsely accused.

He'll get three . Bit of a blessing to be honest.

I think you are right, despite Gia doing well in the goals department most times when he comes on we could have the same result but with better leg speed with a younger guy. Honeychurch would be one to see how he goes or Hunter, Stringer and JJ.
As long as these players start the game and we sub them later if needed.

Very similar to Le Cras scenario a few weeks back. It beggared belief that he only attracted half the penalty Jones received, when you consider it was late, high and he left the ground. So assuming some objectivity, Gia should get the same treatment. Maybe even less if he has a good behaviour record.

It'd be the wrong decision still, because to me that type of bump is worthy of a greater suspension than the sort we see players get crucified over under the hysterical 'head is sacrosanct' environment that has borne the ridiculously broad and illogical 'rough conduct' charge.

The bump has finally caught up with the sniper Giansiracusa. He is due to for a long stint on the sidelines as it's only fair that he cops his whack after that disgraceful and cowardly act on Justin Koschitske many years ago. There is just no room for thugs like Daniel in our game.

We should be applauding acts like the one from Dane Swan last week who, whilst trying to shepherd an opponent off the ball instinctively threw out his arm and made contact to the head/neck of his opponent. I'm sure the officiating umpire at the time applauded it because there was no sign of a free kick for head high contact.

I think that the Gia incident will be looked at and he will get 1 week then dropped down to a reprimand

God knows that the AFL always favours our guys, Chris Grant, Jones etc

I think I heard GIA has carry over points from his hit on Dangerfield.

Yes it's about 70 but the fact he got up straight away and kept playing makes it minimal impact placing him slightly over the 120 points with a plea dropping down to less than 100

May as well go to the tribunal.
