Just a side note Cordy still hasn't been officially named, he may still miss out. Unlikely, but possible.
More of an In Bruges guy?

I'd be staggered if he doesn't play. Can't see Campbell being able to ruck all game and there is no back-up if Cordy doesn't play. And don't tell me Roughead or Austin can pinch hit.....I think they are going to have their hands full.
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.

Macca said yesterday Macrae and Hrovat will be back this week. I agree Cordy must play as Campbell isn't good enough to ruck the whole game. Therefore another player will be omitted. Who will it be?

Kind of expecting it to be Darley to be honest. I actually wouldn't mind Tutt getting another shot but I'd be surprised if they made that many changes with Macrae and Hrovat already into the squad, although Hunter, Hrovat and Gia in the same squad may not go.

Me too, although to would be a shame. He seems the type that will grow into his role in time.
His low sharp kicks offer a point of difference over most of our list; god knows we can use an extra player with good footskills in the side

Re: Match Committee - Round 22 vs Sydney Swans

There's driving a meassge, then there's driving confusion.

Which do you think the match committee are showing to the tall defenders in the VFL?

Roughead has struggled with injury and consistency since he came back from his shoulder injury - which clearly hasn't healed/and or is constantly getting knocked. Austin has his backers and knockers. I'm more in the latter camp.

What do Young, Roberts and Talia have to do to get a game? While not all three are at their peak week in, week out in the VFL, the same can be said for the two in the senior side.

Who'll play on Buddy? I can only see Morris being able to stay with him, moreso than Roughy. Tippett should be far too strong for Roughy also. Austin will take the third in Goodes/resting rucks/Reid.

The other boys could hardly do any worse imo.

It's not like they haven't had chances this year.
Perhaps the MC don't believe Roberts & Roughy can play in the same side due to footspeed?

Have said it already, there may be a longer term in place to develop chemistry between the 3 of them as a unit, with Austin doing his best to get the job done in the seniors in the meantime.

Did Roberts not perform well enough in your opinion? Relative to his age and experience i thought the games he played showed promise. That being said, Roughy is clearly not even close to 100%, what's the point in compounding his injury(ies)?

Maybe despite what is said in the press about development, the MC wants to win the VFL game this week and sow up second spot. One thing for sure is the backline will learn alot this week.

                          Buddy to kick 10.

Well lets them learn on the job in the main team.. The lack of change in personnel in the back half has been extremely frustrating given the poor performances by those within the team.

Thus completely defeating the purpose of having our own VFL team.
