Darce pays a part on TV but I would be cautious about assuming that's his entire persona. He is as clued in and turned on as you'd expect most 200 game, all Australian, ex club captains to be.

It would be fair to say that he is pretty pleased with himself.

That shouldn't mean he doesn't know his footy. It's no point having 5 of the same personality type on the Coaching Panel.

You want different views and vigorous discussion. Luke can provide all of thosse.

Got no issues with Darcy being on the panel.
Not a great wrap on the seven Saturday night team.
Knows his footy reasonably well, and in honesty he seems to try and be the blokey Triple M type with his commentary.
Said this before I'd like a blank canvas with the coach.

Football is Darcy's career. He will make informed judgements in what he sees to be the best interests of the club, regardless of the persona he has developed to be in the media. I'm happy to have him on the panel too.
