    He had OP in 2013 which slowed his start to 2014.

      I think he'll fit Bevos game style pretty well. Remember hawthorn put a premium on ball use and kicking skills. This is something Sam obviously excels at.

        As most posters have noted, his ball use is very good when hitting short targets. At the moment he's a bit vanilla and he needs to find something that sets him apart from others vying for his position. He not especially quick and he doesn't get a lot of the ball so what I would like to see is whether his kicking can become more of an offensive weapon in the same vein that the likes of Suckling, Guerra and Birchall have managed to achieve at Hawthorn. At the moment his kicking is neat but safe.
        I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
