    Are we a BIG club ?

    Just reading up on our updated late rounds fixture .
    Has the AFL finally recognised we have become a club that draws a decent crowd and could become a powerhouse ?
    it’s taken years to get to this point even when we were belting Nth on Good Friday games we got booted.
    Is the wheel finally turning ?

    The answer is unfortunately NO.

    The fixture is for the TV audience.

    Thursday and Friday slots are arranged to satisfy the networks.

    This is simply an acknowledgement that we are currently good to watch for neutral fans.

        Middling -> small club.

        Sustainable and growing though which is the key part.

          We’re one of the biggest 15-16 clubs in the whole of Australia. That’s not bad.

            We've been one of the best for tv viewer numbers for the past few years.

            Until that translates to memberships and attendances and AFL corruption in our favour, I won't see us as a big club. But I'm okay with that.

              I think what the TV networks and the AFL are acknowledging is that ours is one of the most attractive styles of football in the competition. What we offer is viewer enjoyment and satisfaction in the prime viewing slots of Thursday and Friday nights.

              Our catchment area is the fastest growing region in metropolitan Melbourne. Our time will come.

                Wouldn't say we are a big club. We are massive though.

                We get decent TV ratings, and if we wanted to we could just pretend we were still the biggest Football club and area in the state. Which we were historically.
