This view seems to be held by all of the right minded, clear thinking journos as well as quite a few ex players including former Kangaroos Wayne Carey, Mick Martin, David King and John Cassin. In fact Cassin felt so strongly about it he wrote an email to the club.Footscray member since 1980.Comment

By going overboard against Barry North have inadvertently raised the whole issue of acceptable on field behaviour.
Those who regularly run the role model argument will have now to address the fact that this behaviour will continue to be aped by under-age players as something that is acceptable, rather than as something that is little short of thuggery and is a clear example of and throwback to the harassment that the AFL brains trust were so keen to stamp out.
While they have a knee jerk reaction to some events I don't expect even sanity, let alone firm action to occur on this matter. well I've hated many a team for many a year but I never hated North or the Saints.
Now they are both firmly in the "hate them forever" category.Comment

Don't hate North but after Brayshaws performance the last few years .
IMO there is a mole somewhere lucky to be rid of him.It's better to die on our feet than live on our knees.Comment
