    Defeat brings the Bulldogs closer

Peter Hanlon - The Age - 26 May

DANIEL Giansiracusa believes the sort of drubbing the Western Bulldogs took from West Coast last Sunday might have fractured the club in the past, but there is a unity among the players, coaches and the club as a whole that can salvage their season.

''I think you tend to bond and gel a bit more when everyone's coming at you, you've got to stick fat,'' he said in an interview for The Age with teammate Bob Murphy ahead of his 200th game, against Hawthorn on Sunday.

How much internal talking can we do?

I know there's not much else to do in situations like these, but talk is all we ever do.

So you expect no one talks about the loss and what they can do about not letting something like that happen again?

When have we actually learned? We keep talking, but when have we learnt from past mistakes?

          Quick run down:

          * Talked about 'finding ourselves' after getting belted by Hawks in 08 QF, then proceeded to do it the next TWO years in the QF's. Belted each time, but we kept talking about what we should and have to do.

          * Talked about 'taking our chances' in big games several times. See ANY game v St. Kilda in the last few years. Talked about it after the 08 PF loss. We never turned the tide in this area.

          * Most recently, we had a big talk after the Essendon game. About being 'embarrassed' ... suffice to say, we out did ourselves again last week.

My point is, talk is cheap. Particularly if you can't back your words up.

I can't believe you forgot everyone's favourite, "we still have great belief" -in the lead up to a game against a top 4 side, despite a 2-15 record. Followed up by another easy defeat.

We should adopt a John Kennedy adage with instead of "Don't think just do"
              To "Don't talk just do"!

Seriously though, Remi Mo' is bang on with this call. Shut your mouth and show us on the field.

Agree with those calling for action on-field, not just words off it.
