The Western Bulldogs today announced the Club has secured the services of former Essendon forward Stewart Crameri.
Essendon’s leading goalkicker over the past three years, Crameri will strengthen the emerging Bulldogs attack with his strength, power and precision.
The 57-gamer, recruited to Essendon in 2009, also boasts good endurance and speed and provides the flexibility to play higher up the ground.
The Bulldogs facilitated a trade with Essendon in return for the Club’s second round selection in the AFL Draft, pick 26 overall.
List Manager Jason McCartney said Crameri’s inclusion was a big boost for the Club.
“We are delighted to secure somebody of Stewart's calibre," McCartney said today.
“We identified Stewart's physical attributes and his goal kicking capabilities as important components to add to our team moving forward.”
Having formerly worked closely with Brendan McCartney at Essendon in 2011 – Crameri is thrilled to be joining the Dogs.
“I have been extremely impressed with the Western Bulldogs from the moment we began discussions, and I am really excited about joining a Club that has such an exciting future both on and off the field,” Crameri said today.
“I can’t wait to start working with Brendan, the coaching group and of course my new teammates — to reach my full potential and play my role for the red, white and blue.
