Me too. He and Teddy were as good as it gets.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

It's interesting that Scott West doesn't make the grade.

I rate Scott West extremely highly, and if he started his career two or three years later we'd almost have been equal to the teams we were competing with in terms of A-Grade talent (which is a big reason we didn't quite make it) in 2008-2010.

Extremely underrated player from a legacy perspective. He basically pioneered the way inside players play the game today, quick fall to the knees, scrub for the ball with a creative handball out at any angle.

I was lucky enough to see Grant, Hawkins (at the end of his career), West and Johnson. I'd have loved to have seen the others as well.
      TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

I reckon Diesel Williams set the benchmark for that. Not sure if he pioneered it but Diesel was the best I've seen at doing it. Diesel was a master at winning ground contests and his awareness and skill allowed him to hit up team mates almost immediately, even ones that were apparently outside his vision.

I get what you're saying, though I think by the time West was the prolific accumulator he was the game had changed a lot congestion wise and West found himself scrapping and fighting in tighter circumstances than Williams did.

One thing about Williams though, is I never saw him miss a target by foot. He always received credit for his use by hand however, his use by foot was equal to anybody's in terms of accuracy and penetration over 35-45 metres. The complete player in my view, even if he was a fat little thug.

Not sure of the criteria, but to me a Legend is a guy who played over 300 games for the club and/or won a premiership/brownlow medal or been a big part of the club's fabric during a time of crisis, steering through the difficult period's and showing real leadership.

The 5 above fit the criteria.
            Rohan Smith.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
