Really tempted to go. Would probably take the train. A midday start would have been better.

I'm playing footy in Torquay that night so, pending weather, would be a strong chance to get down to the game. Do we have a squad named?

        Squad's gotta include:

Webb, McLean, Stevens, Roberts, Hamling, Jensen, Smith, Hrovat, Campbell, Cordy, Fort, Hamilton, Dale and Darley & Hamilton.

Well worth a look just for those 14 kids if you're down that way.

Dogs trail by less than a goal at quarter time. 3 goals to 4. Cordy with 2 goals and Campbell with 1.

I got here with only a few minutes left in the quarter but Cordy and Hrovat most impressive early.

Cordy has improved massively since about mid-last year. Great to see.
Hrovat with a goal from 50 to give us the lead, early second quarter

I wish more people would acknowledge the improvement he has made. He might never be a 15 game per season senior player but he has now earned his spot at the club in my opinion. With most sides only playing one ruckman I think this has worked against him.

Fully agree but he did cost us pick 12 people can be forgiven for expecting more than he has produced. But I'm with you he is a very handy depth player for our list, and needs to judged on what he actually offers the club not what we all wanted / expected him to. Apparently a really nice kid as well.

Playing against two AFL quality ruckman/talls in Stanley and McIntosh as well. Best I've seen Campbell play and move so far this season as well. We suddenly have a wealth of tall options!

We are 3 goals up at the half. Looking very strong

Yep, playing like reigning premiers (that's a nice sentence).

Have liked the run of Roarke Smith so far. Hamilton and McLean getting involved and both using it well. I'd say our skill level and run has been the major difference so far.

Stevens, Hrovat and Hunter are combining well in the midfield. Koby is still guilty of a dodgy handball every now and then. Darley has also been good, effectively playing key back on Josh Walker, Sam looks noticeably more defined than last year.

Of VFL listers, Fogarty has been my best, good tackling pressure and some intercept marks. I can see why people are excited by Fort as well.

Interesting to see all three emergencies are playing. Fair risk for a practice match. Hope it doesn't come back to bite us.

                            Thanks for the updates.

Are any or all of Hamling, Roberts and Smith playing?

Fletcher Roberts is playing but I haven't really noticed him. He's been manning the resting ruck out of Stanley and McIntosh from what I've seen, and they've had limited influence so I guess that is a positive?

                              Hamling I haven't seen, Clay's not playing.
