I only caught the third quarter but was disappointed with Roberts, Pearce and Stevens. Thought Hrovat was lively and ready to come back in. Hamling is very athletic as others have said, and Campbell played well in the ruck.

Thought the same thing. He looks so young!

Didn't see the last quarter but I didn't really see many of our listed players knocking the door down and jump straight back in this side although Hrovat looked pretty good. Redpath was beaten, Kobe got a lot of it but was awful with his disposal, Hunter flashed in and out, didn't do enough. Campbell did OK, could be a call up for Cordy. The first year players are still a little green. McLean looked good early.

Last quarter may change my view but had to get to the game at the G.

Didn't we beat them by a late goal last year as well?

The seniors did. Gia got the goal.

Actually did Fletcher kick a 50m plus goal after the siren ?

Disappointing Kobe wasn't great from the reports. His big body could be handy against a mature Hawks outfit

Koby played exactly the game you think he did.

Hunter and Hrovat are way way too good for the VFL.

Hunter was in everything early, playing a lot through the middle and seemed to have it on a string. They put a bit more work into him after QT and he was a bit quieter, but still very good overall. Him and Hrovat appeared to be waxing, and I don't blame them; thought we were noticeably let down by a few of the non-listed players. Hrovat got about 90 touches and was clearly BOG, but his second and third efforts were a particular highlight. He set up a goal in the 2nd quarter by dropping 3 consecutive guys with tackles that jarred the ball loose.

Dale didn't have a heap of the ball but liked it when he got it. He is a good user and knows where the goals are. Kicked a particularly good goal where he made about 25 metres to spoil and then followed up again to mark. Watch this space.

McLean got a bit of the ball but did some dumb stuff. Ran over the ball more than once. Can obviously get up though, set himself really well to take huge hangers a couple of times, which is obviously sick.

Roberts got smashed by McBean, Hamling got less smashed and was pretty good.

I said this earlier but Koby Stevens played exactly the game you all think he played. Ditto Campbell.

Roarke Smith didn't play for some reason, anyone know why?

I know he had a sore knee at the ballarat practice match, maybe rested him ?

One bloke who doesn't seem to be mentioned was Hamilton. He's incredibly slight, but his use by hand and foot is all class, he's going to be a good player in time.

It looks like we've nailed the 2014 draft.

On Roberts, thought he got to the right spots quite often, but just made some basic errors after doing so. I'd like to see him spend some time forward over the coming weeks.
