Watching it on TV. Love the grassroots/local feel. Down by the 13 in the last. C'mon Dogs!

I think the Oxford Dictionary is reprinting the dictionaries to show this game under the term 'pissed a game away despite dominating'.

Wasteful. Just keep either hand balling it around under pressure or slam it on the boot to a 3-1 contest (their way). When we do nail the entry we miss.

Disappointed in the lack of urgency in the last quarter.

Well Clay Smith got through uninjured, so there's that

Pearce looked totally lost. Long way to go young fella. Impressed by Hammers, Rourke and Clay.

On the radio the said Hunter was our best player is that a fair comment?

                      He had 25 disposals
                      Clay Smith had 24

He got 25 but made plenty of blues. Clay Smith for mine

                          Went along
Fort looks okay until he kicks it
Smith was great first up, and thought Hunter was good
Roarke Smith looked decent, but to be honest records being sold out didn't help identifying the new players.
Hamling is a very mobile decent Mark, and 68 was abysmal .

Had enough of it to win, but didn't cash in.

A few players I thought were solid:
McLean, Clay & Rourke Smith, Redpath

                            General comments:
Foot speed was lacking across the park but didn't stop us from playing a relatively quick tempo game.
Marking in the F50 early was lacking, but improved.
We defended the quick kick out of our F50 really well, locking it in. Similar to the seniors.

There was a lot of things I enjoyed today despite the result. Having the membership book clipped as I entered takes you back and ticket boxes out the front brings back some of the good old days experience.
Food at reasonable prices even some mini Pancake Parlour pancakes were appreciated by the fans and it was a good pro Bulldog crowd.
Being allowed onto the balcony provided a great view on the game.
The Footscray President Susan Alberti was there along with the number one ticket holder in Scott West and of course the club President Peter Gordon.

On top off all that the ground is in great condition as well.

Bailey Dale is continuing his excellent form. Hamling provided strong defensive efforts and will just get better this year and every now and then McLean and Hamilton remind you how good they are and will be in the near future. Seeing Clay Smith back and in such great form was a real highlight as well.

We didn't win the game but it was still an enjoyable experience.

This game was the perfect example of bad kicking is bad football .. Teams have those days , we will be ok.
Think our major problem was delivery into the forward line and the rebound we got caught on so many times.
We had only 7 players from last years gf, give it a couple of weeks to gel.
