I watched on TV later on as I had 3 year old parties to attend, joy!

This almost seemed like an exact replica of the WB v Richmond game in the NAB cup earlier this year. We jumped away early then just couldn't capitalize on opportunities, the opposition seemed to have no trouble at all with accuracy from the few shots they had.
Of course the result was different in the end but the fact that at our own ground on more than one occasion we can't seem to kick accurately. Not sure why this is exactly but I do know that the wind can change from morning to afternoon there and that the players generally train in the mornings but I find this quite odd.

In regards to the game itself,

Rapt that Clay played and also looked the most composed out there. I didn't think he was going at it at full tilt either, looked to be holding back a little in intensity and still starred.

Hunter was a class above but he seemed to want to stop and handball through a lot and we messed up a lot of the these runs.
Dale looks a real find as others have said.
Redpath looked to have his strong marking hands back.

Some bad mistakes from a few of the Footscray top up guys, no Goodes and Jong to add control and pace, could of used a Daniel or Prudden in and under.

Should of won that one easily so an good performance minus the missed chances.

Also quite liked the channel 7 broadcast. They actually went to quite a bit of effort to research details about the players which Channel 7 AFL and Foxtel could learn a few things from.
