Goetz is a ruckman isn't he?
Not putting a lot of confidence in Minson ... we chased a ruckman in the trade period as well.Comment

It's a good question and I don't know the answer but it's interesting that Moore actually tested pretty well for his kicking at the combine. Not great but not bad. His kicking is inconsistent though.Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"Comment

I'd say these guys are potential rookies at best. Think Will will be retired before a guy like Goetz is a senior team proposition.Comment

The Western Bulldogs have added three players to their training list including exciting young ruckman Luke Goetz. The 202cm big man dominated for Altona in the Western Region Football League under-18s competition in the first half of 2015 before joining the Western Jets for the last nine games of the TAC Cup season.
I like the idea of using the rookie list to attempt to develop a young ruckman. If it doesn't work out - no great loss.Comment

Good to see that Goetz is a local boy. I wonder if he is any relation to the people who ran the factory called Goetz that is in Willy road in Spotswood? They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.Comment

Was it in Hall Street, Spotswood (the road that runs along the railway line)? Funnily enough very near Two Birds Brewery, recently discussed in the Beer, Beer, Beer thread. I grew up around the corner from it.Comment

Re: 2015 Draft Form Guide - Mock Draft #1
It's really starting to shape as an interesting draft. I've got to say, the more I think about it, and despite some more glaring positional gaps in our list, I'd really like to see us claim:
Riley Bonner - good sized, good mover and a good user. He'd add a lot to our side and could potentially fill a number of roles.
Mitchell Hibberd - much the same as above, an underrated player who would be a very versatile, hard working player with a lot of traits which should see him become a consistent AFL player.
Despite the need to add some key defenders, I'm not convinced the blokes we really need will be available in our range. I'd rather us continue to add quality players who will improve our list in preference to reaching for someone. If we have another good year, I'd be fairly confident in attracting a ready made player.
As it stands, between Roberts, Hamling, Roughead, Z Cordy and perhaps Redpath, we have some options who should continue to improve together. Perhaps we can secure a mature aged player who fills a key defensive post later in the draft too.Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?Comment

Also, not sure if he means this to be a final phantom draft or a power ranking (not taking into account club preferences?).Comment
