Well? We passed on an official Father-Son, but haven't completely ruled him out. So with the National Draft in mind, what do you think folks?

Tend to agree. Rookie at best I'd think. Although we love father/sons, as a small forwar/mid it's hard to see him coming in and jumping Maclean, Hrovat, Daniel, Honeychurch, Dale, Webb and others in a hurry, so hard to justify a draft pick when other needs are more pressing. Apparently he has good talent and is a good kid. If we decide he is not right for our list right now, hope he gets a crack somewhere.

I think Rookies are put on the list on a year by year contract. (I could be wrong). In any case, we have him for another year.

Western Bulldogs defender Roarke Smith has this week signed a one-year rookie contract, keeping him on the Club’s rookie list to the end of 2016.

With Darcy Mc, I see him as surplus but we should be keen to get him on the Footscray list if he is completely overlooked. That would provide a way to keep him in our development system and watch his progress.

Should he come on strongly, we would still be in position to take him father/son in 2016 if he warranted selecting.

See him at Footscray more so than being Rookie listed. I think we have enough smaller types running around at present. If he had more pace I would think differently.

Perhaps, Adcock, a ruckman might give him a spot. I could see us selecting someone else though

Shame. I like to think that we would give a leg up to father-sons even if it is just on a rookie list. There is something about a kid following in Dad's footsteps and playing for the club his dad represented. He may not be as talented as other people, but he probably bleeds RWB - nostalgic view of the world

With so many well credentialed players undrafted, I reckon we'll rookie rucks/talls, hope to play DMac at Footscray and size him up for next year.
