Callum Twomey Top 30 Phantom Draft

    http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-11-22/callum-twomeys-2015-phantom-draft

Generally one of the more connected and accurate Phantom Drafters. His top 30 is an interesting read (like a few he has Rhys Mathieson as the big drifter), also like his players in the mix as our late picks.

It was a good read, and highlights how even this draft is. I get the feeling clubs are keeping their cards very close given how open the draft is after pick 2 and with a number of clubs having clusters of picks along with the unknown element of academy bidding.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

Clayton Oliver is certainly flavour of the month. A month ago he was around 20, now he's top 5. Love of the photo of him in this article, looks like a 60s player, with the red hair, pale skin and sack of potatoes physique (or a British officer from The Great Escape). Cult hero written all over him.

Good ball using half back flankers are good, but losing Talia, Grant, Cordy were dropping to very low numbers of talls (if even depth).

The good thing about this draft is that there do appear to be viable tall options, even further down the list. Of our 7 picks (including rookies), I could easily see us taking 4-5 talls with good potential (of which, hopefully, a couple pan out), even if we take a flanker/mid type with either 20 or 21. Agree taking 2 non-kpp types at 20-21 would be concerning.

It all changes after the Academy Picks get included. We basically get 20/21 excluding any Academy players who the Academy clubs match bids on.

He has lost a lot of weight since that photo but there is something about him that I think he will polarize people.
He could be that player opposition supporters love to hate.

Yep. Totally different type of player, but with that pale skin and almost comical British public school boy vibe, he could be a kind of midfield Simon Beasley, opposition supporters will hate him but would be a real cult player when wearing your teams jumper.
