Long way to go for this kid, but gee he looks a good mover in these shots. Reckon he's got a bit of cult hero potential as well.

As an aside, anyone else notice that a lot of preseason footage seems to feature players on their non-preferred side. Good to see!!

Certainly looks the most athletic agile ruck size player I can recall at the Bulldogs.

I was thinking about that too. Darcy's the best one that could ruck and was also very athletic - but this kids 200 cm+ and, for a teenager, isn't just a beanpole either. Long way to go, but very exciting.

Helping kids with their fingerpainting in Cambodia then he gets the call. How funny is that and very likeable.

Thought the same thing. And his kicking doesn't look all that bad. Has a natural flow.

The second one where he picks the low bouncing ball up two handed without barely stooping looked very smooth. Nice kick too-especially if he's kicking with his non preferred side.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I think there is a chance he could be our version of Stefan Martin. Another good selection

I think on the footage he kicks a couple with each foot. Looks more comfortable on the right, but left is not too bad for a raw young fella.

Live at training he looked really charismatic, he really stood out being so tall and athletic.

So did Ayce at 18 years old. Let's see how he fills out and what happens to his mobility when he gets to around 22 years old.

Agree that a lot of work to be done but this kid has a presence that I don't believe Ayce ever had. Tom Williams had it too mind you. You just look at the guy on the track and think "what a cut of a guy, and how well he moves. You just don't see people like that on the streets. I'm proud he's on my side." Minson has that look of a giant too but he doesn't move like Goetz.

Tom Willams on his debut was indeed beautiful to watch.
Goetz seems so bloody nice. Might need to lose the man bun and do a bit of boxing for a while.

Yep, you could see he was a bit clunky on his left and had to think his ball drop because he wasn't used to doing it on that side. It was a good kick though. If he hasn't had much practice on his left then it looks promising that he'll learn to be proficient with that foot.
