Lynch bubbling away nicely. So lightly built but has a knack for finding the ball even against bigger opponents. 10 marks suggests he's running to good spots and his teammates are looking for him.

    Good attacking instincts.

Impressive first year so far and is a lock to become a good player for us.

Lynch and JJ off the HB line in 2-3 years time will be fun to watch.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

It will be like having two Chris Johnsons rebounding in that great Lions side of the early part of this century. But playing for us. Awesome.

What it will do is aleviate the loss of Murphy's run through the middle when he retires.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

How impressive was this win, given the dolphins don't have an AFL affiliate?

I was listening to the stream. It was bloody good to hear the siren.

It was a great escape from being potentially Footscray's most disappointing loss since joining/re-joining the competition.

I got there at half time and made these random observations:

The Hayes boys are horse and football whisperers

Big Will is our Conan the Barbarian and a gentleman to boot..Seriously larger than life yet made of flesh.

I stood as a man in the immediate presence of Montie, Jose Romero, Greenwood et al

Clay Smith will come back this season and will have a big impact in our 2016 season,.

                Zaine Cordy will make it.

Brad Lynch did nothing to suggest that he cannot be at least as good a player as Jarrad Grant. Lean and skilled on both sides as well as in the air with speed to boot.

Tom Boyd brilliant. The vertical leap is awesome. His eyes says he has his sight on glory.—‘

I asked Greenwood what injury he had, said groin, I said those soft tissues are a prob he said it was actually the bone I said you need more calcium and he said he wished that’s all it was. I thanked him for his part in the Grand final win.

Jose I said I hoped his son was as good as people were saying. He seemed a humble man. Smaller than I thought. His son seemed big enough, large thighs.

Talked with Steven King who was kicking with his young son and I asked who he barracked for , Steve said doggies, I said but he’d go to Geelong with the father/son rule, Steve said I don’t know about that. Ben Graham was there, Monty.

Three quarter time huddle, six goals down, Clay Smith yelling come on boys we can win this one.

Modern liniment is eucalypt no more; instead it is sweetly scented. Standing on the fence next to the box/interchange and looking directly over the massaging mats, I saw more of Lucas Webb’s muscles than I wanted to.

Our senses are finely tuned. Two years ago on the fence next to interchange at Whitten Oval, a couple of inches below the playing field, most players seemed godlike of stature. On Sunday, standing on the fence next to the box/interchange and looking directly over the massaging mats at Frankston and walking on the field at half time and three quarter time, Monty, Bevo, Grenwood, Romero et al were decidedly of human dimensions and with whose eyes mine shared the plane. Wilbur is however a Titan and of this earth but could also hoist it on his shoulder and carry it. Clay Smith has sculpted his body to purposeful proportions. Lucas Webb is being prepared for the future.

All afternoon I was blissful in the delusion that Mitch Hannan was Roarke Smith and I was ecstatic at his comeback with impact. He was the main player to clinch the victory with his marking, ball movement and goal kicking. Flashy and hard edged.

I know we are looking at drafting Hayes .. He has been approached but in what way I don't know .
I would like to see Hannan given a spot too.

What sort of player is Hannan? Haven't seen him in the games I have watched and his stats don't jump out as someone who will add a great deal other than a the odd goal.

What are his AFL like traits?

He is s great mark and knows where the goals are,an opportunist.
Probably be better the higher he plays as in better quality delivery.

Hayes was in the best players for the VFL against the SANFL so I would say he has improved.

Having watched Hayes for the last three years, I'd offer him a rookie position (Will Hayes, not JD)
There is no sadder sight than a young pessimist.
